Please share your examples of how UDL provides access and equity to all students, particularly those from low income or ethnic-minority backgrounds.

For students with disabilities, particularly mobility and communication impairments, multiple means of engagement are especially important because of the child's innate inability to move toward objects, explore them, interact with them and understand them. Each of these experiences, in combination with oral language, print and text experiences and other playful interactions prepare students for kindergarten and school-age programmatic experiences. Without early learning experiences including multiple means of engagment, multiple means of representation and multiple means of expression, students with disabilities begin the educational process at a significant disadvantage which begins the endless achievement gap.
